Wide-Gap Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger
For media that would blind a standard plate pack.
A gasketed unit with a widened plate gap and a free-flow channel geometry, so fibres, particulates and viscous media pass without bridging. Chosen when the duty itself is ordinary but the medium is not. Example plate models: N40, FA184, FA192, SF123, SF160, T20S and TL35S.
SF160 plate: one of the example wide-gap plate models. The open, interlocking pattern leaves wide free passages between the plates, so fibres and solids pass through.
T20S plate: another example wide-gap plate model. Plate gap, flow and area depend on the duty, so send the duty and we select the plate.

Plate materials include stainless steel, titanium, 254 SMO, 904L, C276 and others. Plate gap, flow, area, pressure and temperature depend on the project, so send the duty and we will select the plate. Availability is confirmed per order.

Every heat exchanger we supply is hydraulically tested before despatch, both circuits under pressure together at the test pressures stated on its data sheet. The unit passes only if it holds that pressure without a drop, which is what demonstrates the whole assembly is leak-tight.
The circuits are also tested against each other, one pressurised and the other watched, so a leak between the two media would show. A copy of the test certificate is available on request.
