Heat Exchangers
Which type suits a duty is decided by the media, not by preference. Gasketed units stay openable and expandable; welded units remove the gasket as a temperature, pressure and chemical limit.
Every heat exchanger we supply is hydraulically tested before despatch, both circuits under pressure together at the test pressures stated on its data sheet. The unit passes only if it holds that pressure without a drop, which is what demonstrates the whole assembly is leak-tight.
The circuits are also tested against each other, one pressurised and the other watched, so a leak between the two media would show. A copy of the test certificate is available on request.
