Semi-Welded Plate Heat Exchanger
One side welded for aggressive media, one side open for service.
Plate pairs are laser-welded into cassettes and sealed to each other with gaskets. The welded channel carries the aggressive or refrigerant medium; the gasketed channel stays openable for cleaning. The standard answer for ammonia and for media that attack elastomers.
