Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger
A sealed, compact plate pack for small and medium duties.
Stainless steel plates vacuum-brazed into a single sealed block, with no gaskets and no frame. It is the most compact plate unit for a given duty and holds high pressures and temperatures. It cannot be opened, so it suits clean or chemically cleanable media. Copper brazing is the standard; nickel brazing or all-stainless construction is used where sulphur, ammonia or acidic condensate would attack copper.

Every heat exchanger we supply is hydraulically tested before despatch, both circuits under pressure together at the test pressures stated on its data sheet. The unit passes only if it holds that pressure without a drop, which is what demonstrates the whole assembly is leak-tight.
The circuits are also tested against each other — one pressurised, the other watched — so a leak between the two media would show. A copy of the test certificate is available on request.
