A clean closed loop, so a gasketed pack is the economic answer and the close approach is worth real money on a stream that is recycled continuously. Glycol viscosity at the cold end sets the pressure drop and therefore the plate pattern, and the gasket compound is chosen on the glycol and its temperature, not on the model number.
