Standard Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger

Seawater on one side means titanium plates; stainless pits in chlorides within a season. The pack is sized with margin for the fouling a seawater side always brings, and kept gasketed so it opens at dry-dock for cleaning and a regasket. Most installations run a duty-standby pair so one unit can be opened at sea.

Gasketed units on their frames, built and waiting for despatch. The painted carbon-steel frame is what a gasketed plate heat exchanger normally looks like; the plate pack between the tie bars is stainless, and it is the pack, not the frame, that touches the process.
