Holding tanker cargo — crude, fuel oil, vegetable oil and chemicals — at pumping temperature with deck-mounted heaters.

Semi-Welded Plate Heat Exchanger
The cargo changes voyage to voyage, so the heater is selected against the most demanding cargo the ship is certified to carry, not the next one. Semi-welded construction keeps the steam or thermal oil off the gaskets; a gasketed pack suits clean, moderate-temperature cargoes such as vegetable oil.
