H is the high-theta (hard) plate, L the low-theta (soft) plate. Mixing them sets the channel's duty — tell us the arrangement in your unit and we will match it.
What we need from you
- The model number stamped on the frame, and the plate count.
- The service — what flows through it, at what temperature and pressure. Gasket compound is chosen on the fluid, not on the model.
- A photograph of the nameplate if you have one. It settles every ambiguity at once.
